THORASYS is pleased to announce that it is receiving advisory services and up to $197,293 in funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to support a research and development project in digital health.

Thanks to this support, THORASYS will accelerate a strategic innovation aimed at assessing lung function in remote patient monitoring context. The technology currently evaluated would allow patients to test themselves from home, without effort, and to closely monitor the evolution of their respiratory condition. The data gathered from these tests would then be sent to their physician who is timely informed of their test results. This results in a better understanding and a closer monitoring of lung function, which could reduce ER visits.

This support from NRC IRAP will allow THORASYS to deploy this technology faster and make it accessible to patients who need it.
